I need this house to stay burning for a while. With the crackling walls and ceiling caving down. And toy with the thought of getting out. I need this house to stay burning for a while. Well I’ve cleansed my heart of any notion that this works out somehow. And I’ve tuned out any hope of some resolve. But I’ll toy with the thought of settling down. I need this house to stay burning… for a while.

Julien Baker is an acquired taste - assuming of course you’ve acquired great taste in singer songwriters… beautiful, devastating, honest, insightful… I’ve not heard a single song of hers that hasn’t left me in absolute awe. crisbroadhurst
A darker and more expansive album for an already dark and expansive band. You & I is the aural equivalent of moving through the depths of an empty forest at midnight thrownofan

This album is pretty much a rollercoaster. Starting off with Desolate.Magnificent, it slowly builds up with it's ambient and foggy sound. You keep thinking to yourself "This is nice and all... but when does the rollercoaster even start?" when right at the 2:47 mark you get launched backwards. Great fucking album. Keep it up! It's ambient sections always help me relax and calm down, it's energetic sections... well energize me!! zo
